Somewhere back in the mid to late ‘80s when I gave my life to Christ, God and I would have these intense, late night discussions . Actually, I was doing the talking and he’d just patiently and lovingly listen.

I’d often ask (and rant) about how I wanted to learn of Him and live according to His Word. But I also targeted the church in our talks, wondering why they didn’t provide more for the youth to get involved in? Can’t we have Christian skate nights at the roller skating rink or go to dinner theaters with Christ centered plays and stage productions? And where are all the Christian concerts? Why don’t the mainstream artist come to the little towns and cities like the one I was living in? God, do something. Make the church get off their butts and start providing Christ centered activities and entertainment to help young Christians live life with a Godly focus.

Finally, God responded. It wasn’t audible but it was certainly loud. Right there in my spirit and I never forgot what He said. In total agreement, I could feel him reiterate all of my concerns about what the “church” should do. But then came His mic drop. “But Donnie, He said… YOU’RE the church.”

Ouch! It stung like a bee and hit me like a ton of bricks. The “church” SHOULD do all of those things, but not the five-fold (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers) ministry that I was speaking of. They have their own assignments and calling from God. He meant “me” the church. The everyday, ordinary, child of God, in whom He’d been instilling His Word and blessing with the necessary talent and ability to fulfill God’s calling.  

Fast forward a couple of years for me to wrap my brain around the assignment, marry my awesome and amazing wife Karen, and thus, Glorious Productions was created.

Originally designed to bring faith-based activities to the youth, we have evolved over the years into a full service Production Company sharing the gospel through media. And we haven’t turned back since.

From concerts to stage plays, conferences to feature films, our heart is to make every project or event… another, Glorious Production!
